RUNNING CLUB UPDATE
NO RUNNING CLUB THIS WEDNESDAY DUE TO WEATHER.
As Dan mentioned last week, I am writing to you from accounting prison. Luckily these tax dorks will release me most Wednesdays at 5:45 pm to join all of you for at least one run a week. But the club will still be rolling on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.
Props to our Waterfront Hall Run Club members for showing up in big numbers after our holiday hiatus last Wednesday despite the cold temps and snowy roads. Not to brag, but I am currently leading the club with 2 falls in 2025. Come and join us if you’re trying to take this crown.
The running tips and advice section from last year is continuing on this year with the help from our club member Jeff Wesolowski! Jeff is a former member of the West Liberty XC and Track teams, Boston Marathon qualifier, winner of more local races to list than space I am allotted, and a 2:34 marathoner.
Last year Jon Ebbert gave a plan for those trying to complete a mile without stopping. Jeff’s plan is focused on those trying to accomplish that task for 5k. This is a smart and detailed plan from an experienced runner that many would pay money for, so very thankful to Jeff for contributing this to the community for free. It works great for those who have completed Jon’s plan or anyone interested in taking a crack at the most common road racing distance of the 5k. Try it out so you’re ready to crush these upcoming Spring 5k’s!
