RUNNING CLUB UPDATE

Matt Riffle Returns!

For those of you who used to get your weather reports in this section you will have to look elsewhere because I’m back! As Dan reported at the beginning of the year, I was locked in an accounting prison until my release on April 15th. For those of you who chose to live with courage and not file a tax return this year, I thank you for your service.

The Waterfront Hall Run Club hopes to put some exciting events on your calendar this year. First up: we’re getting ready for the Ogden Wellness Weekend at the end of May! Join us this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for a preview run of the 5K course. Stay tuned — we’ll also pick a Saturday in May to preview the infamous 29th Street Hill for those of you tackling the half marathon.

And for those of you interested in the Tough as Nail obstacle course, please go elsewhere. It would be insane for you to take advice on that type of physical test from a guy who can’t do 10 push ups. Only kidding, we would still love to have you join us even if you’re the type of person who calls running “cardio”.

With winter behind us and good weather ahead, we’re excited about growing the group and having you join us. Bring a friend and join us on Wednesdays at 5:45 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:00 am. See you out there!

I hope you'll join us this Saturday for the Benefit Block Party. Plan B is to have it on the third floor in the event of inclement weather.

Carly, Josh, and their family were a major part of the creation of Waterfront Hall and my hope is that we honor that by supporting them in a big way.
